Bottega Veneta Fall 2013 - MFW

"At first sight of Tomas Maier’s fall collection, one might wonder whether the designer had fallen under the spell of the noir moodiness and romance that’s captivated some of his peers this season. But in a way, he was there first. His last two collections have been brilliant examples of how to translate thirties and forties influences into a modern wardrobe. Still, even though the opening look was Raquel Zimmermann with a flattened, frizzy coif and wearing a nipped-waist silhouette with leather gloves and heeled lace-up oxfords, this wasn’t about retro. As Maier will tell you, he was simply playing with natural materials." - vogue.com
