My Best Dressed List at The 2013 Academy Awards

The Academy Awards took place on Sunday evening at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and Hollywood's elite walked the red carpet in some of fashion's top designers, not leaving any glamour out.  Of course with another red carpet comes another Best Dressed list, which was hard to cut down to a hand full, as there were not too many misses on the carpet this year.  What a pleasant surprise for any red carpet lover!  I narrowed my list down to 14, which still seems like a lot but it was extremely tough to do.  I hope you enjoy my Best Dressed at the 2013 Oscar Awards.  Who was your best dressed?

My absolutely best dressed starlet was Jennifer Lawrence, who wore a gorgeous Dior Haute Couture off white gown with fitted bodice and exaggerated full skirt and train.  An effortless up-do, subtle smokey eye, diamond chain necklace draped down her back, and silver box clutch completed her  H2T look, making her my BEST DRESSED!  Not to mention the Best Actress Oscar Winner!  Everything about her look was sheer perfection, all while keeping true to herself and adding some of the Jennifer Lawrence humour we all know and love.

Jennifer Hudson wore a blue sequined Roberto Cavalli gown with thigh-high slit, sheer long sleeves, and boat neckline.  Matching stain pumps and box clutch were the perfect accessories, while straight hair and natural makeup were the perfect finishing touches.  Naomi Watts stunned in a pewter embellished Armani Prive gown with column skirt, cut out bodice, and one capped sleeve detail.  A messy up-do, subtle diamond bracelet and drop earrings, and a fresh face kept the focus on her gown.

Jessica Chastain was the epitome of Old Hollywood glamour in a custom Armani Prive nude beaded gown with bustier bodice, fitted skirt, and sweetheart neckline. Harry Winston bracelet and earrings, a side-swept curled do, and bold red lip made this look spectacular.  Catherine Zeta-Jones dazzled in a gold Zuhair Murad sequined and sheer gown with spaghetti straps, waist emphasis, and figure flattering fit.  Simple curled hair, chandelier earrings, and sultry makeup proved age is just a number.

Zoe Saldana once again wound up on my best dressed list wearing a white Alexis Mabille Couture gown with embellished sweetheart neckline, belted waist detailing, and form flattering fit with flared train with contrasting black and grey hem.  Elegant jewellery, nude lip, and smokey eye was the cherry on top.  Fashionista Louise Roe was beyond stunning in a  Monique Lhulliere gown with red lace detailing throughout the bodice trailing into the skirt with capped sleeve, full tulle skirt, and neck embellishment.  Gold box clutch and bracelet, side-swept curled ponytail, smokey eye, and nude lip completed her H2T look.
Amy Adams was a princess for the night in a ice blue Oscar de la Renta gown with bustier bodice, sweetheart neckline, and full organza skirt and train.  Simple pulled back up-do, diamond bracelet and earrings, pink lip, and natural makeup allowed the gown to take centre stage.  Amanda Seyfried has been flawless this awards season and went out with a bang in a custom lavender Alexander McQueen form fitting gown with subtle gold floral print, halter neckline, and keyhole cutout.  Combed back up-do, nude lips, and rosey lip added a fresh feel to an effortless look.
Although Jane Fonda is 75 she is looking absolutely smokin' in this canary yellow Versace gown with exaggerated shoulders, long sleeves, plunging neckline, and waist embellishment.  Gold box clutch nude pumps, chandelier earrings, and her signature short do allowed her to scream anyone can still be sexy at 75.  Sandra Bullock rocked the red carpet in a black Elie Saab embellished lace patterned gown with scoop neck, capped sleeves, and stunning shape.  Bullock kept jewellery to a minimal with diamond studs and hair accessory, minimal makeup, gold box clutch, and straight hair.
The always sexy Salma Hayek stunned in a black velvet Alexander McQueen gown with faux sweetheart neckline, column skirt, and an amazing gold embellished high neckline.  High bun with gold jewelled hair accessory, gold box clutch, smokey eye, and nude lip were subtle yet perfect.  Jennifer Aniston wowed in a "Valentino red" Valentino Couture gown with fitted bodice and exaggerated skirt.  Paired with a red box clutch, signature straight hair, and natural makeup.
Jennifer Garner was not just Ben Affleck's arm candy as she wowed in a custom plum Gucci gown with slight sweetheart neckline, column skirt and an amazing ruffled back leading into the train.  Completing her H2T look was a vintage Neil Lange diamond statement necklace and bracelet, box clutch, natural makeup, and effortless up-do.

  1. Jennifer Lawrence was my absolute favorite. I cannot wait until I can recreate her backwards necklace look!
